When the bill came, I decided not to tip the waiter because he was wearing an Obama T-shirt. I explained to him after i ate that I wasn't going to tip him but I was going to redistribute his tip to someone that I deemed more in need, specifically the homeless guy outside. He stood there in disbelief, then angrily stormed away.I went outside, gave the homeless guy $5 and told him to thank the waiter inside.Wonder how the waiter liked that "change".

A lot of 'appeals to authority' and Star Trek style rhetorical leaps in logic - I know 'punditry' is the norm on the speaker circuit but the smell of snake oil is getting a bit over-powering.

There is something wrong with this wanting to live forever stuff. Like so many aspects of western life the emphasis is on quantity rather than quality. The most fundamental law of economics - the more available something is, the lower its value. Immortality is not cheating death - it is de-valuing life! "die at the right time" as Nietsczhe said.
